Our Home
Our
philosophy is a simple one:
Our home is your home.
We live in a quiet, relaxing, rather remote location,
and offer accommodation to match. Our B&B maintains
this quiet atmosphere and therefore only accepts older
children of 13 years and over. Families with younger
children are most welcome in a hostel family room
or a self-catering apartment, which while still generally
peaceful, can be busier at times.
If you
are staying in our modern home for Bed & Breakfast,
just come and go as you please, and help yourself
to the maps, books, DVDs, videos and Sky TV. Hot drinks
with real milk are always available 24 hours a day,
and we serve a full cooked breakfast (including the
vegetarian sausages and bacon option) between 8am
and 10am so you can have a lie-in if you like. For
the very early birds there will be self-service cereals,
toast, and drinks available.
For our hostellers staying in the 1892 granite lightkeepers
block, we can provide a free breakfast kit on request
if you have forgotten to bring yours. It comprises
an individual box of cereal, milk, fruit juice, and
a drinking yoghurt, and at least gets your day off
to a good start.
For self-catering guests also in the 1892 building,
you receive a welcome food pack to cover the first
night's basics until you can get to the shops to stock
up for your stay.
The lawn surrounds the buildings and extends to one
and a half acres, so there is plenty of room for little
ones to run around, whether they have two or four
legs, or even three as in the case of one previous
guest! The large sweeping drive has plenty of room
for parking.
We sincerely
hope you will feel at home whichever accommodation
option you choose, but please let us know if there
is anything we can help you with.
